Go watch Big Hero 6. That's the first thing that came into my mind, after seeing their super cute main character, Baymax. I think the same thing applies to my friends, considering how many of them posing with Baymax's installation flooded my news feed, weeks before the release.

In San Fransokyo, a hybrid metropolis of San Francisco and Tokyo, Hiro Hamada is a 14-year old robotics genius who learns how to harness his talents with the help of his exceptionally intelligent brother, Tadashi and their like-minded friends: Go Go Tamago, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Fred. An unfortunate turn of events will lead Hiro to Baymax and transform brilliant minds to heroes, in the hope of unravelling a mystery surrounding the city.

The movie will make you laugh, break your heart, and amaze you with their animation. Nothing but pure awesomeness from a Disney-Marvel movie. Of course, you should expect "recipes", as a friend would put it, from the usual Disney film. They're surprising nonetheless. Big Hero 6 is a celebration for geeks. The references and Easter eggs will satisfy one's craving. You can see all 15, including Stan Lee's inevitable cameo role here. Once again, I applaud the two companies for making a timely movie. One that exemplifies bravery, pushing boundaries, acceptance, love for one another and hope, without dulling the action and comedy it offers.

  • You'll form an attachment to the characters, just like how you felt after past Disney and Marvel films. Big Hero 6 definitely has something to offer for everyone.

Should you decide to watch it, you'll also see an adorable animated short film, entitled Feast, at the beginning.
